Meet Tom Haynes:


Tom Haynes is a fifth-generation Northeast Arkansan and experienced attorney with nearly 15 years of practice in both criminal and civil court. Born and raised in Greene County and a graduate of Paragould High School, Tom earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Arkansas, a Juris Doctor (JD) from the UA Little Rock Bowen School of Law, and a Master of Laws (LL.M) in Tax Law from the University of Florida.

Throughout his career, Tom has served in a wide range of legal roles, including assistant city attorney for Jonesboro, partner at Snellgrove, Langley, Culpepper, Williams & Mullally, deputy prosecuting attorney in Poinsett County, attorney ad litem in Greene County, and part-time public defender in Craighead County. He began his legal career as an associate at the Rose Law Firm in Little Rock.

Tom believes the most important qualities in a judge are fairness, humility, and a steadfast commitment to the law. His deep local roots and broad legal experience have shaped a balanced, principled approach to justice—one grounded in integrity and compassion.

Tom and his wife Kassie, an elementary school counselor in the Jonesboro School District, have been married since 2005 and live in Jonesboro with their two daughters, Amelia and Etta.

Tom Haynes is running for Circuit Judge to serve the people of the Second Judicial Circuit with the values Northeast Arkansas deserves.
